MYTHICAL CALENDAR: HATHOR: OCTOBER 21
THURSDAY
And Egyptian Calendar celebrates– Hathor going forth to her people– on this day. Hathor , also known as Het-Hert ‘the house or womb above’ was accredited with being the Queen of Heavens and Mother of the Gods. She stood for love and happiness and was said to be Sobek‘s consort. Interestingly enough, it was written in some sources that Sobek was the first God to come out of the primal waters of chaos during creation. And Hathor was credited with bringing forth the primeval time herself—having no one else make her.
At times, there were seven Hathors, giving every Egyptian seven souls, which soon became— fairy godmothers, Lady of the Lake, Mother Goose, Mother of the Sun King, and Lady of the Huntress during the middle ages.
