NEW EDITION to the FAMILY
His name is Biggins and my children are convinced that he is the reincarnation of a black half lab and German Sheppard we had and, crushingly lost, named Boss. We got him a week ago and already he is twice this size. I had been meaning to show him off on the blog, though, so why not go with the first pics I took of him. From the first day, he stole our hearts and while I still sometimes cry over our loss of Boss, this little guy does remind me of him in so many ways.
(He is sleepy in the first one. Hey, its hard work lugging a big belly around all the time.)
Biggins is an American Yellow Labrador Retriever. He got his name from Boss, actually, and the fact that my kids swear it is him.Boss’s father was the biggest dang Lab I had ever seen and while his mother, my German Sheppard was of great healthy size, the two together produced a monster of a dog. So Boss, as he grew into a behemoth, earned the nickname Big. And so since this pub kept convincing my children he was Boss, we then named him Biggins—after Big. I doubt he will get to be the size Boss was, but I guarantee like Boss, his heart will be colossal. It already is. *winks*
