December 2010 Desktop Wallpaper & a Christmas Calendar for the Kids!
Ok, I have two freebies up for December. One for the adults and one for the kids. Let’s start off with the Adult one.

Above is the preview for the December Wallpaper Calendar for Desktop. It’s a wintry scene, with moons, and the most popular holidays of the month like New Years Eve and Christmas. I kept it simple this month because everyone will no doubt be slammed with all other kinds of chaos. Plenty of room on your desktop as well.

CHRISTMAS CALENDAR FOR THE KIDS

There is only ONE size for this one…because it’s not made for Desktop…. but rather for you to PRINT OUT.
Here is what you do….
Print out the Calendar for your kids. Then let your child X off the days. I do one for each of my children. I hang it on the wall by the Christmas tree and then tie a crayon to it with string. Every night before bed, they get to mark off a day. And they look forward to counting down to Christmas.
You can even add your own important dates to this.
For example, if on the 21st, the kids are supposed to bake cookies with Grandma, then write it on the calendar. If on the 9th, you are taking the kids to get a tree, write it on the calendar. If on the 5th, you are taking GIFTS to the needy…then put it on the Calendar and get the kids involved.
This is a cool and fun way for the kids to get some fun throughout December. And a way they can keep track of things.

Inspiration: This one is my farewell to…Summer’s End. I was kind of in the mood of one door closing, another opening…seems like our life is filled with these kinds of seasons and changes. And as far as Summer goes, I am not sure where it went…I just know that its saying good-bye. The calendar includes a lot of magic—because ya’w know I am knee deep in all things Paranormal. I dig the Fantasy aspect too…so here goes it. Maybe what I did will have you day or night dreaming your own meaning.
Feel free to add your own holidays and such, but when sharing, please don’t change anything on the wallpaper. Share the original.

Inspiration: When people think of summertime, they often imagine sunsets, oceans, or lakes of blue. I don’t. I think of moonlit summer nights, starry skies, fireflies, hazy dreams, wishes, lovers secretly meeting within the shadows, and all sorts of magical things. That’s what inspired this wallpaper. If you like it, then please share it with all of your friends. And if you really like it, keep checking back because I think I’m going to make this a Free Wallpaper without the Calendar part just so people can use it whenever.
Feel free to add your own holidays and such, but when sharing, please don’t change anything on the wallpaper.
This wallpaper has the moon dates but NO holidays since everyone lives in a different place, celebrating different things.
There is a solar eclipse this month, though, so keep an eye out for that.

This months (June 2010) Free Desktop Wallpaper calendar is called Beyond the Veil.
It features a woman slipping through the mists and the clouds, eyes of a wolf, veil, and a mysterious cloak figure inside the moon. The Calendar is simple but does include moon dates, Summer, Summer Solstice and Father’s day.
You can add your own dates but please, when sharing, make sure to only share the originals. Keep all file names intact and please do not change file names. All free stock images used came from Stockart.

Because I am a writer, this month I decided to do the Desktop Wallpaper a little softer as if it were a story rising off of the pages. I didn’t want to do anything 3D crazy, just something supple that might sweep you away into your daydreams every time you look at it.
The Fantasy Wallpaper features some holidays (but nothing insane or cluttering), moon phases (as always), and a day or setting of the sun on one side and a mystical moon scene on the other. There are gentle colors because spring is just beginning and there is a ton of room around the border to put your desktop icons without running them into the actual picture. That way you can keep everything neat and organized.
I hope you enjoy, if not…tell me what you didn’t like so we can maybe fix it. If you like it, then do shout out because it encourages me to keep making them.

Free Christmas Calendar for the Kids!
Every year I make these for my kids and every year, I offer it up to the rest of the web. The idea of this is to either put it on your desktop, OR, as I do, print it out and hang it on the wall for your children. I make one for each of my kids and then every night before bed, they get to take a crayon and mark out the days until Christmas.
Now you know as soon as you put up the tree or a child catches wind that this is the month of Santa, they will bug you and bug you…” MOM WHEN IS XMAS???” lol Well this helps you with that. Your children get to figure it out for themselves. lol
This is something Free and easy to do. If you do not have children, well save it and email it to a friend that does. Or pass it onto your grandchildren or someone who has grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbors, whoever.
Christmas is all about memories, and for me this is all about making those memories with my kids. And as you can see by Santa in the calendar, he is having a good laugh at some of his …well…own memories.
So if you choose to save this…enjoy!
