New Cover: My Big, Fat, Hairy Werewolf Intervention by Rusty Fischer
I had to put NEW COVER on this one, else you would have thought, “Oh Gawd, she is talking about one of her exes!!!!!”
Any who, this is the new cover I was working on last week for Noble Young Adult . This book will be released on the 14th of November, I believe….but if that isn’t the correct date, then it will be somewhere along those lines.
The Author, Rusty Fischer, had very specific desires for the feel of the cover itself. Nothing too serious….something paranormal but yet, fun. The Author specified a desire for a moon, and night scene in the background and for a cute, teen…a bookworm for the front. The Author also wanted a very fun font, so I went with something handwritten.
And this folks, is what we came up with.

But who are they here for . . . and why? Regan soon finds out when her family tells her about the bloody clothes in the washing machine late at night, the chewed up sneaker on their lawn. And the teenage girls that have gone missing over the last few years in their sleepy little town of Crescent Cove, South Carolina point only to one conclusion: She is a werewolf!
The clues are piling up, but so are the questions: Like, where did one of the cameramen disappear to for so long, and why is he so . . . bloody . . . when he returns? Like, why is her sister, Sara, so adamant Regan is the werewolf, when it could have been her bloody clothes in the washer all those late, moonlit nights?
Like . . . why are her shouts of denial suddenly turning into . . . growls?!?

Real Boys Kiss Boys Cover
Recently, I had the pleasure of doing a cover for Joe Flippone. He had a few specifics that he wanted–such as a Colorado backdrop, a lagoon, and something that captured two very important characters and what they were going through.
I think Joe’s blurb will probably capture more readers than my cover ever could. (Even though, I am pretty proud of this piece of art.)
I don’t have a release date yet, but I tell you what, you better keep your eye out for a rising talent, who, according to his BIO, already has a pretty impressive resume.

New Cover: Dead Reality by Jess Anastasi
Jess Anastasi is becoming one of my favorite Authors to work with. She knows what she wants but then throws open the door so that my imagination can make her vision happen. She likes her sexy characters on the cover and she likes breath taking scenes to pull it altogether. But it won’t get pulled altogether with a serial killer on the lose….or will it? You will have to read the book when it’s released to find out.

New Cover: TRUE INTENTIONS
This one was finished up yesterday. It is a Young Adult Novel. I believe the release date is February 14, 2011. Noble Romance Publishing’s new line Noble Gateway will be the launch pad for this one.
The Author, Lisa Kuehne gave me example covers of books she had read which gave me a big feel for her taste. So we ran with midnight blues, starry skies, misty whites, and mystic blacks. With her description, I created a symbol to go with her new book and used the mountains, lake, and moon to create her backdrop. The mountain and Lake actually came from a place I often visit and take a bazillion pictures of…Lake Moomaw, right here in Virginia. Although the book’s setting is in California, the photo’s worked well. The book’s setting will probably prove far more interesting than where I go in real life lol.

New Cover: Falling Through Glass
This cover is for Noble Romance Publishing’s Young Adult line called Noble Gateway Romance. The release date is set for February 7, 2011.
I think the cover turned out beautifully and was a joy to make because rarely do I get to deal with traditional Japanese anything. Ok, I never do…so this was my first and a thrill.
If you like time travel, a bit of something different, then I’d check it out.

This is another new release I created coming from Noble Romance Publishing. This book is A Sensual Romance, NOT EROTICA, and is written for Adults. (Not sure of a release date and I have to flu so I am feeling too nasty to hunt for it lol.)
I normally don’t do the Adult covers for Noble. The fabulous Fiona does. (If you don’t believe how create she is, just take a look at the website.)
I used several pieces to put this one together, but am very pleased with the results. Another cover that makes me wish I had wall space for posters lol.

MORE COVERS!!!!! Not Quite Pizza, & Sex, Lies, and Pizza
I forgot to make a post on the covers I made previously to posting the new ones. So sorry…but now that I have the release dates, I figured what the hell. These are all books set to be released by Noble Romance Publishing’s new Young Adult line called Noble Gateway. The first book due out will be January 10th (I think).
Not Quite Pizza is due to be released is set to be released January 31, 2011. This is an M/M (GLBT Romance) story.The Author B.J. Holtz gave me the BEST detail ever out of all those I’ve done covers for so far. He gave me tons of pictures giving me ideas of how he saw his characters, and then gave me TONS of covers that he has fell in love with over the years by other Authors. This helps more than you can believe when making a cover. It gives me a sense of style that an Author is drawn to. It let’s me know the colors that they favor and so on. So, when I can, I try to incorporate that into my work.
The Author wasn’t pushy, either. They gave me plenty of freedom to let my imagination soar. Some Authors give absolutely no trust lol. I can understand because they wrote this book and they don’t want to lay down and risk having a cheesy or horrible cover. Some Authors, though, like B.J. Holt give me their information, and then sit back and let me do what I AM GOOD AT lol. I think it really paid off in this case.
The main character of this book, Mac, is a mutant. That made this even more spectacular. That’s him on the cover, and if his looks make you curious, well that is the whole point. You will have to read the book to find out WHAT Mac is and who this amazing looker is giving up so much eye candy.

This cover was just outright fun. I rarely work with soft pastels, but for some reason, this book just spoke to me. I thought about scrapbooking, post it’s. scribbles of choice words that the main character of this book might be jotting down or rolling over in her mind while in class, because she has some big decisions to make. She also gave me covers of things that she had seen or read by others, that really helped get a sense of what she was looking for.
This cover needs no more explanation than that. The Author was a HUGE joy to work with, gave me all the creative freedom I needed, which made me comfortable enough to make this cover happen. Yeah, I brag when Authors go out of their way allowing me to make things happen. It’s rare, and means a lot when they give me the benefit of the doubt…and trust. We can always work out the kinks later on, after the first draft is shown to them…and, sometimes we do.

I created this new book cover for Bonnie Ferrante this past week. For those who may not know already, I am working for Noble Romance Publishing’s new line called Noble Gateway Romance. This is a new Young Adult (YA) line.
Bonnie’s new book called Dawn’s End will be coming soon, and one of many that will be released as soon as the new website launches in January ????? I believe.
Dawn’s End is a romantic, fantasy, adventure.
The cover turned out quite nicely, I think. Sometimes I wish I could print these out as big as posters and hang them on my wall. *sighs*
